Nice comment, Batman. One of my favorite shows as a kid! What the Buddhists and maybe even Hindus would say is that the ego is an illusion created by our minds and so all we're really doing is "waking" up to that fact. My own view is that the ego doesn't do us much good at all and that letting it go really is the work of our lives.
